WANDERLUST: Hong Kong (HK)
You know you’re in Hong Kong if you can’t keep your eyes off the newest LV bag; If you can’t stop talking about night markets and cheap stuff. And also the mixed-breed of delicious foods!
Hong Kong alternatively known by its initials H.K., is a city-state and is a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, enclosed by the Pearl River Delta and South China Sea.[8] Hong Kong is known for its expansive skyline and deep natural harbour, and with a land mass of 1,104 km2 (426 sq mi) and a population of over seven million people, is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.[9] Hong Kong’s population is 93.6% ethnic Chinese and 6.4% from other groups. *wikipedia
HK’s speaking language is mostly Cantonese, but of course like other Countries it’s now a mix of different cultures, different races, and different ethnicities. Now, what even more exciting is their numerous tourist spots that you can go to and child-friendly spots, like th e Magical Disney Land, Ngong Ping 360 and many more!
This has one of my biggest trip and my first very own time of celebrating my 22nd birthday out of the country and inside the magical place on earth! We went to a lot of places in a short period of time, we stayed at HK for 4 nights and 5 days (if I’m not mistaken).
The busy street, the busy people, the business district, the district lights, the street night flea markets, the hostels in Chungking Mansion, all the luxury brands… Everything fascinates me, everything in HK makes me smile. And yes, it’s a must visit place!
On our first day, we didn’t waste any of our time, we hit our hostel right away and had lunch at a Korean Restaurant and took a breathe of the Country were in, we took a walk to the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui, and went to Victoria Peak Tram and as well as Madame Tussauds! This time since its my long-week celebration I have decided to be a tourist, i parked the “traveler” inside of me and just enjoy!
So giving you fun pictures from the Shopping Paradise of Asia, Hong Kong!
The forbidden photo at the airport’s ramp
looking lost. hahaha!
touched-down at Hong Kong International Airport
Day 1
We were craving for some Korean Dish, so we found this “hole-in-the-wall” Korean restaurant. I forgot the name (apologies) and it was soooo good! We had Spicy Korean Chicken BBQ for lunch and of course some free starters!
the place was so nice and very modern and refreshing! the Resto crew was kind too, we even go a photo together with her!
After having lunch we strolled around the Urban jungle; amazing buildings, no traffic at all, people are so organized too! Who won’t be fascinated by the luxurious brands that is all around Hong Kong? Of course all girls felt the same way that I did! So here are some few shots that I took while roaming around the beautiful Hong Kong!
and also the cheap stuff! my favorite to-go store is SASA!!!! 🙂
Hong Kong won’t be HK without the pretty buildings towering all over the city! here are some shots that i took! I am pretty amazed how neat and artistic the people are! The designs of the buildings are well done, and I believe that it’s also well taken care of!
one of the highlights in Hong Kong is the Symphony of Lights. It caters how fantastic Hong Kong is at night! I was really glad that it didn’t pour!
it usually starts at around 7pm or 8pm! you can also buy some popcorns or any chips and drinks while watching the breath-taking lights and sounds in motion!
On our Day 4 in HK, before we went to Macau we took some time to digest Hongkong. 🙂
the super epic fail jump shot! hahahaha
on my next blog post, i will give you a glimpse of the most magical place on earth, DISNEYLAND! I will keep you posted and will provide you with links below . 🙂
after our visit to the magical place, we went to the Temple Street Night Market where you can buy cheap stuff that , HK is indeed a shopping haven! I bought my Make up train case in HK, a birthday gift to myself! I tried the Tsing Tsao beer which is pretty a popular beer in HK.
( and so the beer saga continues … )
Hong Kong is indeed a wonderful place! A place to unwind, to relax and to have fun! There are so many things to do in HK, and on my next post i will give you tips and a list of what to do in Hong Kong! This trip is one of my favorite trips in my life, i spent my birthday in Disneyland and its a dream come true! I met Minnie mouse and many more!
Oh! How beautiful life is when you get to see the world; when you are out there exploring and see what the world has to offer and realize you just occupy a tiny space in the world and its not enough! That you have to go places, you have to be out there in an adventure!
So if you wanna have fun, Hong Kong is a must place to visit. So far I have visited this place twice and I will keep coming back for more! There’s so much thing to do in HK!
